The best story I' ve ever read!! The standards hit hard on the need for students to read increasingly complex texts, in order to be prepared for the types of reading they will be confronted with in college and career situations. Pieces in our homeschool, we are pulling bits and pieces from this book and creating our own unit. I was reminded I had this ebook last night. Do they require more analysis to understand, and is this understanding a necessity for comprehending the text? For someone writing on a blog site I would have thought your literary understanding of these rhymes would have been a bit deeper. Rushing to pay off 3.13% interest loans? Not the sharpest tool in the box if only making 100 clicks, I'd stay in bed lmfao! This guy made some counterproductive financial moves. Let's just say Cinderella ended drastically different than how Disney dressed it up. When I was in 1st grade or so I learned that a large part of the reason for going to school (which I didn't enjoy) was to prepare me for being an adult. I used this book (grades 2-3) when I taught public school. But would you teach the reading? Butwhat For example, The Grapes of Wrath, with a 680L Lexile level, now falls somewhere in the grade 2-3 band for difficulty. That is a bit extreme and probably would have been better used on his mortgage. As such I started questioning Try reading some of the original Grimm stories. Using Read & Understand Poetry as a guide is the perfect way to create a introductory poetry unit (which just might inspire your children to learn further on their own!) for my middle grades child.
